The house kitty-corner from ours has two small ginkgo trees as street trees. They are finally changing colors and dropping their leaves.
Our sweet gum trees still have quite a few of their red leaves too.
I saw one house with a lit-up Christmas tree and some lights in the front yard. There's a house near Kitty's school that has had a lit-up tree for several weeks now. Didn't people used to set up trees on Christmas Eve and take them down after the twelve days of Christmas, i.e., Epiphany? We're not religious, but know the dates. Things seem to have shifted to pre-Christmas, or pre-Thanksgiving, decorating, then the tree gets kicked to the curb on Boxing Day.
