There were four of us on the boat with some equipment to measure water and water-column properties. I was observing and taking pictures of what they were doing, but took a few extras to post here and send home.

At the first site of the morning, there were a few moon jellies floating around next to the boat. This one was maybe 8in across.

We were tying the boat off on buoys. They each have a short rope with it to attach to a boat. The rope usually has debris on it, like bits of seagrass, but sometimes small crabs. They are about 1/2in.

Before we headed back, I took a few pictures of the island of Puerto Rico, the mainland. The town over there, which is to the north, is Parguera, where we are staying.

Some more hills a little farther to the northeast. The benthic surface, "ground" under the water, has patches of different colors because of the seagrass and sand in that area.
