It was enough to make me sick, but I watched just enough of President Bush's press conference to joyfully proclaim, "It won't be long now"! The man is pathetic, that's all I'll say. I won't be watching his address to the nation Thursday.

I read in the paper this morning that the more sleep you get, the fewer colds you have. I'm questioning the science behind the connection. Does sleep improve one's immune system as claimed? Or does extra sleep simply mean you're not with other people as much, hence less chance of acquiring a virus? That's how you "catch" a cold--human contact. Sleeping alone equals no contact. But what do I know?

I continually amaze myself (roll eyes). I decided to "splurge" for supper last night and fix blueberry pancakes with bacon and eggs--breakfast at dinner time. When I saw a squash and sweet potato in the fridge, I decided to make pancakes out of leftovers. I added an egg, some flour and milk, mashed them all together, threw in my freezer blueberries, flattened them in a skillet (with olive oil and turkey bacon grease), and TA DA, blueberry "potato" pancakes with syrup! They were great, I must say! I prepare many a meal thataway. The stomach doesn't need to know how, just what.
