Don't you hate getting ready for a trip? So much to prepare for--the trip itself and the home details.

--Today I get my truck bumper replaced. How long will that take, I wonder? I think I'll walk with my backpack strapped on while I'm waiting. I'm also going to the library for a couple of books to read on the plane and Hawaii.

--The roofer comes tomorrow to finish up a project from early last Dec. He's been waiting for the snow to melt off the roof.

--I've contacted the septic system installer, and he says my soil type dictates a much more expensive tank. Of course. I called another outfit for a second opinion. They're all scheduled to come out sometime this week to survey the situation. I don't want to spend $11,000 just to clean my s##t! I bought the WHOLE HOUSE for about double that amount.

--water plants, stop my paper, Lions Club meeting, pay bills, see my father, call my son (birthday today), pack, exercise, a thousand nigglies. Good thing it isn't yard and garden season!
