No golf today. Volunteered to take a friend to the hospital for a colonoscopy. Rather him than me, but it does put a crimp in the day. I walked three miles with my sister before breakfast for my daily exercise. My back's been bothering me all week, so I walk funny.
Speaking of hospitals, I visited one of my golfing buddies there, suffering from bone cancer. Again, rather him than me.
Today is also my twin sister's birthday--65. Throughout our growing up years, they always got all the attention, but I never minded. I have always been their big brother, one they looked up to. One never went to college, the other lasted 2 years before getting married. Like me, they've both been divorced twice. Neither one is particularly bright.
I offered to take them out for dinner tonight, but one (Barb) doesn't eat out (a vegan), so she decided that we should just have our own "in house" meal, and that she'd prepare it! Whatever.
I think my garden is finally all planted. Put in 3 dozen sweet potato plants yesterday. The rabbits have been eating their way through my green bean rows, so I put up another fence. I'll have to cover the sweet potato plants with coffee cans every night, or they'll eat them up too. And robins are getting all the early strawberries just as they turn red. Critters of nature are the bane of my garden existance.
Enough rambling for this post. Have a nice weekend everybody!
