Perhaps it's the winter blahs, but I think I've lost my sense of humor.
After reading the comic page(s) this morning, I realized that not only did I not laugh, I didn't even smile. Perhaps it's not me--it's the comics.
Here's the rundown:
Family Circus: pathetic
Dilbert: I can't relate
Close to Home: goofy
Baldo: fair, but not funny
Baby Blues: cute--sometimes ridiculous
Beetle Bailey: same ol', same ol'
Hi and Lois: Another cutesy (and unamusing)
Doonsebury: Who are these characters?
Pearls Before Swine: different but morbid
Rhymes With Orange: Sad, sad, sad
Garfield: another anthromorphic animal with a mean streak
B.C.: continues the misperception that man and dinosaurs
lived at the same time. Seldom laughed at.
Blondie: Pretty good! Second best. I can relate.
For Better or Worse: comic page soap opera. Ugh.
Sally Forth: sarcastic "humor"
Peanuts: Still the best! Schulz was a comic genius.
That's my opinion. It will sure to draw criticism! But whether I like them or not, I still read the daily comics. I'm drawn to the color.
