New Year and New Possibilities
Still looking for work and still looking for love and very hopeful for both.
Word on the street is that there will be more jobs popping up in February. Hopefully enough to go round and to choose from. Crossing fingers for another steady gig with set hours and set days... Gotta Dream BIG.
Also looking for my Match. No, not online... yet. I'm also crossing fingers that I will cross paths with the right guy very soon. If my in person search doesn't yield better results than the Musician, then I will sign up on one of those sites.
I need to research this thing called "The Game" because to my surprise, men have been using the hot girl techniques on me... I'm so not used to being a hot girl and have to remind myself that I am now. (The main hot girl technique is basically using an insult to get a girl's attention.) Hans told me last night when I went to support him at an open mic for standup comedy that I've always been the hot girl... isn't he sweet? He's also very funny. He's got a 6 minute spot at one of the top LA comedy clubs tonight. I can't afford those places so I went last night for a cheap preview. A perk of Funemployment.
Tonight I'm going out for some great live music. There's an Elvis tribute show featuring a couple of my talented lady friends that I'm really looking forward to. And literally around the corner the Musician is playing at 11pm at another club. I've still never seen him perform on stage, so I'll try to catch his show as well tonight.
Plus I get to wear my new brown boots that my older sis bought for me in St. Paul. My week with my sisters was nice in the winter wonderland that is Minnesota. I even got to hang out with Mere while I was there. I'll be heading back there in July for her wedding as one of her bridesmaids. She's hoping that I'll meet someone at her wedding and move there. No way I'm leaving the beautiful weather I have right here in LA.
And maybe tonight, I'll run into Mr Right.
