A Whole Lot of Workin Going On
I've been hard at work since MLK Jr Day. I had two job offers thanks to DW. And an even bigger thanks to her for allowing me to take the second job offer that has already led to bigger and better things. If I don't screw things up too much, I will get a job promotion in March.
I've been so busy with work, trying to expand my single world, and training for my next Half Marathon that I have little time left for blogging. I struggle to even keep up with my friends on FB. So, sorry that I've been absent for so long. Nothing all that exciting has happened other than getting a job after being out of work for three months.
The dating world dried up on me upon my return to LA in the new year from the world of snow where my lil sis and friend, mereonair live.
Most men seemed to avoid me except a much older gentleman who hit on me in the beginning of January. The Musician witnessed this and got all jealous, causing him to pull away from me. January was filled with the Musician making plans with me, then giving me kisses and then leaving. Which in the long run is good since he's not really what I'm looking for in a relationship.
I complained to my neighbor that December was really great but then January rolled around and it was like I was hit by the ugly stick. She explained to me that single men freak out leading up to the holiday of hearts, candy and flowers. Okay, duh, I should have realized this and I then counted down the days till that wretched holiday was over.
And then, I drove across town to enjoy my friends who were singing duets at a bar on February 18th and I was suddenly HOT again. I got hit on by another musician while he was on stage following my friends' duet, a man in a button down shirt at the bar two stools over tried really hard to buy me a drink and the Musician (whom I hadn't heard from in over two weeks) texted me.
Ahhhhhhh, I made it through the dating gauntlet.
I'm still searching for my Match. Still putting it our into the Universe that I deserve to meet the right loving man for me. I'm still attending anything and everything to get out there to meet decent guys, which is no easy task in the city of angels because the men here, are no angels.
