Recovery is A &$*%^
So commuting to work on the bike is out for a little while. Biking to work is obviously more than light cycling as it made my sore Achilles Tendon more sore. Live and learn.
I had a blast volunteering for the 10K race last Saturday. Handing out water to runners was actually as much fun as running it would have been without all the sore muscles later.
But this too was much too active for my tweaked tendon. And the following inactivity has allowed me to catch a nasty cold. Making it a trifecta of pain. I have a sore achilles tendon, sinus headache with cough and I'm cramping from my period.
I'll be going home early from work today.
But the good news is that my dad just bought me a new car. He found a 2008 Red Pontiac Vibe for a good deal. He and my mom will be driving it out in a couple weeks and we're gonna see if the Caddy is okay to travel back. I told my Dad that he'll have to drive slower back to make it. I'm a little worried about them driving that 20 year old Cadillac across country.
But my dad seems determined. He's more stubborn than I am. LOL
So hopefully I will be as right as rain by the time my parents drive the little red hatchback across country. I just have to learn how to sit on my rear end again in order to fully recover.
Who knew it would be so hard to be a couch potato?
