I am thriving on pre-race jitters right now.

Although, I feel very prepared for my next Half a few days from now. I bought a few items to make race day even better: new shoe inserts, bigger water bottles for my fuel belt, and later today some black tube socks for my arms, yes, my arms. Tube Socks: my cheaper version of shooter sleeves to wear at the beginning of the race to keep me warm.

It's common for runners to discard clothing on the race course as it'll be picked up later and donated to charity. So if needed I can ditch the arm warmers rather than tie them to my belt.

Thom decided not to go since he's working now and I have to be there on Saturday afternoon through Sunday. Jackie's man is getting dental surgery on Thursday. So to save some dough, Jackie and I are carpooling and splitting one hotel room. I'm canceling mine since her hotel room is on the beach and within walking distance to the expo, food and the start/finish of the race. A much more ideal location.

We'll be meeting some more ladies from our SparkPeople team for our pre-race meal on Saturday night. It's gonna be a great weekend.


I just can't believe it's still only Tuesday...
