Let the Holiday Parties Begin
Ah, 'tis the season for Holiday parties and one of my parties on Saturday just got postponed till next weekend. I was gonna have to leave the one party early to go to another one that night. Now I can truly enjoy my Saturday morning run, afternoon nap and later a party in a loft downtown with Thom. Hopefully I won't become narcoleptic at 11pm as I often do from getting up early to go running.
The party I am most looking forward to this season is a casual dinner at a local pizza joint with friends to celebrate my 36th birthday on Tuesday evening.
I asked Thom to fix my lamp for my birthday. I really miss using it since it started to do a weird flickering thing a few months back. I unplugged it in case it was a fire hazard. Thom happily agreed to fix it and I could tell he was relieved that it was an easy gift that I wanted.
Thom hasn't worked since the end of July until today. Today he's helping build a wall. He grumbled on the phone that it was just for today but it's great that he's making an appearance in the workforce again. Hopefully this will lead to more freelance jobs for him. Being out of sight is definitely out of mind in his line of work.
I'm so relieved that he's working if only for one day. I've been praying for him to work again, especially before January. I better start praying for him to win the lotto and soon!
Happy weekend! Mine starts in less than 2 hours!
