Cross Training for a Pub Crawl
So again our friend M, scheduled a Pub Crawl the night before my Half Marathon. There was one before my City of Angels Half another before my Surf City Half, and now the final insult, a pub crawl before my re-scheduled Pasadena Half Marathon.
Of course when I complained, M burned me with, "If you don't start drinkin' the night before you'll never be able to run the whole marathon!"
So as part of my cross training for Pasadena, I'm drinking a beer the night before each of my training runs. I have to say it's the best cross training I've ever done. LOL
My body is starting to acclimate to converting the beer as a good carb. I should be able to attend the pub crawl till 9pm (we start at 6pm due to public transportation), go home, sleep, and run 13.1 miles the next morning.
So tonight, I'm having my dark wheat beer and tomorrow I've got a 8 mile training run to do.
