A Few Broken Items
This time I'm not talking about my relationship.
This time I'm referring to my new bike and my old laptop. Within a month I managed to bend my bike chain and derailer on my new bike. My friend is fixing it and hopefully soon I'll get to start learning how to ride defensively on the streets of LA. I want to start commuting to work a few days a week now that Spring has arrived.
My running buddy Jackie just signed up to ride the bike portion of the LA Marathon on Memorial Day. I would love to join her but I need to practice riding up and down hills to be ready. And learn not to break my bike.
And then there's the laptop. I thought it would be a good idea to have my operating system upgraded on my old laptop yesterday but in the process it crashed. The IT guy will be working on it over the weekend. It sucks not having my own computer.
At least I still have my legs in full working order. I have a bruised foot but it's fine to run on luckily. I have my last long training run tomorrow. I'll do shorter runs on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday will be resting days before the Half Marathon on Sunday!
I'm still very excited about that... so even a broken laptop can't keep me down.
