Stop This Crazy Train
So I was hoping to have good news when I posted again. Still no word on the laptop which is very ominous. And work has gotten crazy yet again. I feel so disorganized without my personal laptop to work off of. This replacement computer is fine but it's not the same and not portable.
My good news is that my bike is fixed and I get to pick it up this week! Yippee! I really need to learn how to ride in traffic. I'm hoping to start with riding in safer places to gain more confidence. And in a couple weeks start commuting to work with it.
I quit Curves yesterday. It was tough to give up that gym after being a member for four years. I'm finding that the circuit training isn't working for me any longer. There's only so much "change up" you can do with a set circle of machines. It's a great workout but I am in need of CHANGE. I still have the gym membership where I take Spin Classes.
So starting next Tuesday after I recover from my next Half Marathon on Sunday, I'm back to online boot-camp. This time with the goal of finishing all 28 days. I will still be running 3 times a week and will add cycling and hiking mountains to the mix.
I also need to get serious about my Grand Canyon trip. I used a gift card to buy pants that zip off and become shorts and a cool orange tank. I waver on liking the color orange but 24 hours after seeing it on the site, I still liked it. Maybe that will change when it arrives on Friday and I see it in person. LOL
I still need ankle high hiking boots, wide brimmed hat, water bladder to put in my backpack, and some small miscellaneous items. My brother and I were talking about the hat situation as he finds most of them to look silly. I told him that I'm gonna get a straw coyboy hat to keep the sun off my face.
Speaking of, I have never been more tan since I was 12 years old. All this running outdoors has added some actual color to my skin. I've been wearing 30 spf (except the one day I missed my arms) and yet I'm still getting a tan. This is all very weird for me.
I wonder what color I will be after hiking the Grand Canyon around Labor Day.
Who Am I? LOL
