The Boredom of Bronchitits
The Boredom of Bronchitits
So I was stuck inside for five days straight to help get over my sudden bout of bronchitis. I only left once on Thursday to pick up a zpak that my doc was so nice to call in for me at the pharmacy and again on Saturday to pick up some cough syrup.
By Sunday morning I was feeling a little better and my new friend, Stream picked me up and we went to the Valley Crest Half Marathon. I did not run it, or even walk it as I was worried that I would end up with lungs filled with water if I even attempted it. I got a very expensive race t-shirt instead and cheered on Stream. It was his first Half Marathon. Stream, FYI, is old friends with one of my girlfriends. She thinks we'd be a great pair since we're both trail runners. But after hanging out with him twice, I believe she is wrong. I don't mind that he's much older, but I do mind that while he is straight, he doesn't seem straight. His whole manner just turns me off.
We had run part of the course last Sunday to check it out. We had lunch after and then met up with our mutual friends in the park. So I've spent enough time with him to know that I'm just not into him.
Again proving that just because a guy is single and a runner, doesn't mean I need to date him. I would like to date an active, outdoorsy type of guy but I have yet to met a runner that I've wanted to date.
I guess it's a good thing I was sick cause it didn't give him an opportunity to make a move. That would have been awkward.
On to the next one. And since I'm feeling a whole lot better this week, I'll soon be able to change my unemployment into funemployment.
