The Blues Are Fading
Since getting out of work yesterday, having a fun conversation with a good ole friend, taking a spin class, and getting someone to run with me this morning, the blues are indeed fading.
I'm off to run a mountain trail, which serves two goals for me, training for my next half marathon in 32 days and preparing for the hike into the Grand Canyon at the beginning of September.
After that, I pick up Thom from the airport shuttle stop. I also have lunch plans with Hans and his GF Mere. Don't know if Thom will be up for anything today. After a week with a family of women, I'm guessing he'll want some ME time alone. I would if I were him.
Besides I made plans to go to another Spin Class on NYE morning. I haven't been going to Spin as much lately - still on the average of once a week but haven't gone more than that in months. So it's been a challenge for my legs to keep up. It's a good cross training exercise for my running. And it might help me drop the three winter pounds I put on. (another cause of my holiday blues)
I'm happy to see Thom today and it's nice to know that I have six days off to do whatever I want. And one of those days I want Thom and I to go for a bike ride so I can finally start to learn to ride it on the streets of LA. I need to be prepared so I can start commuting in the Spring... when it's a tad bit warmer and after my third Half Marathon on March 22 in Pasadena.
Happy Tuesday everyone ... only 2 more days left of 2008!
