Been meaning to post this  picture and just kept forgetting it.  In case you wonder what a true OU fan looks like, this is IT!  (Holly and Bevan at the OU-Texas game.) You can't read it but Holly's shirt says "Beat Texas." She had picked it up at Campus Corner in Norman the week before.  Well, actually, that's not quite true.  She DID pay for it.Â
Now!  On to the subject of this post...crazy signs taken by tourists in different places around the world.
Here's one of my favorites:
Â
This was snapped in Nairobi. Â Not sure if it is meant to protect the winos or the rest of the population!
And what about this one?
Also snapped in Africa outside Boulder Beach.  Didn't know they had penguins in South Africa.  Guess that's why the government is warning people to look out for them.  The poor birds are probably looking for anywhere they can to get out of the sun.  My advice:  Go South, Mr. Penguin!  Go South!
Uh! Oh! Â Watch out for those lions in Indonesia!!
Just in case you don't speak Indonesian, or whatever the heck it is they speak in Jakarta, the people at the safari park just outside the city want to be SURE you keep your windows up and your doors closed while driving through the area of the big cats. Â Personally, I think I could probably figure that out on my own, but I guess some people can't.
Beware of Legs With No Body:
From Sidney, Australia. Â What happened? Â Did the city cut the sign painters' Â budgets???? Â Where's the body??
And NO wonder this guy fell:
In Portland, Oregon, do they ride bikes with no front wheel? Â That must be quite a feat....but watch out! Â They may fall at any time!
This guy has the right idea:
Not nearly as bad as it looks. Â This restaurant in Oxford, Mississippi, is actually so popular that people tailgate in the parking lot while waiting to get in. Â Now, that must be some kind of good eatin'!
Are These People Good Citizens Or What?
Notice how carefully they are avoiding sitting where the sign is? Â Now, you gotta' give 'em credit, you really do!Â
I Really Love This One:
I'll take any of these. Â I have been to the Keys and they are good enough for me!!! Â Is that not a beautiful shot?
Believe me! Â Take It Seriously!
I've also driven that northern route through Utah and Nevada! So, when you hit a "metropolis" like this at Bluff, Utah, you HAD better stop!!! Â You may not find another one for 200 miles!!
Road Trip:
What more could you possibly need for a road trip through Arizona?
Are You Serious?
Where else? Â Texas, of course!!
And Talk About Discrimination!
Spotted outside the Vatican in Rome....None of this apparel is acceptable for entering the Vatican and apparently one-legged women are a NO-NO as well!!Â
That's all, Folks! Ya'll come back now, Ya' hear? (A little Oklahoma talk just for Troutbend)
Â
I didn't get a notification on this one.
By the way aussiegirl in Jakarta must have some great signs!
