Now That Was a Royal Wedding!

I recorded the British royal wedding and just finished watching it.  I have also watched the youtube videos of the Swedish royal wedding of Crown Princess Victoria, who also chose a commoner as her husband.
I have to say that the British wedding paled in comparison.  Plus, the Swedish wedding was a lot more personal.  The bride and groom actually seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Kate and William were so solemn and barely looked at one another.  But, I suppose that's the British way....stiff upper lip and all that.
If you would like to view highlights of  the Swedish royal wedding of June 19, 2010,click on this link:    https://youtu.be/-J0n3VsOgPI.
By the way, the song you will hear sung--"When You Tell The World You're Mine"--was performed by a famous Swedish singer and the woman who had recently won Sweden's version of "American Idol."  It was written especially for Victoria and Daniel, performed for the very first time at their wedding.  And it's in English!
Now THAT was a ROYAL WEDDING!!

I thought it was a beautiful event and they both looked so beautiful, I guess that's what being "in love" does...

I recorded it AND stayed up all night to watch the BBC version on PBS with no commercials. I was surprised at how scraggly most of the womens' hair looked, even the ones with the far-out designer hats. Granted, the wedding was relatively early in the day, but they didn't even appear to have good haircuts and the hats didn't go with their outfits. The first put-together one I saw was Posh Spice, and then a couple more showed up, but several of them seemed to have dug a hat out from under the bed and rushed over to the church. It did, however, have the effect of making the bride and bridesmaid look all that much more beautiful.

I can't be critical. I thought Kat was a vision and beautiful and the whole wedding was just lovely, very British, rich in custom and tradition, the music brought me to tears — it was uniquely Will's and Kate' celebration. It was after all what they wished it to be. I think they are very much in love and wish them all the best.

I too believe them to be very much in love and Kate was a vision.

I thought the wedding dress was exquisite and the bride beautiful.

I did love her wedding dress. And I loved the fact that she wore her hair down so that, as she said, "William will know me." I just would have liked to have seen them a bit more relaxed and enjoying the moment.

The wedding was wonderful. The boys looks great. They are so strong and in conversation with people how they looked straight in their eyes.

I enjoyed it as well. They just seemed so scared to me.
