Some looked elegant, some looked wild, and some just looked dowdy! My personal favorite for the best over-all look was Kate Middleton's mother, Carol Middleton.
I thought she was absolutely stunning from her hat right down to her shoes when she arrived in an elegant, sky blue outfit by Catherine Walker.
According to protocol, the mother of the bride is given the first choice of color, followed by the Queen and  Camilla. Although the Queen was known to favor pale blue at weddings she looked resplendent in primrose yellow.
Imagine being 86 and still being brave enough to wear yellow. I thought she looked wonderful. And Camilla was appropriate as well. All three,  the bride's mother, William's grandmother, and stepmother, chose morning coats as well. Did they collaborate? Â
On the other hand, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrix, daughters of Prince William and Sarah Ferguson, were fashion disasters. Facebook and Twitter went crazy with comments about these two. Those hats are just atrocious.
Â
Another personal favorite of mine was Crown Princess Victoria with her husband, Prince Daniel. She managed to look both stylish, appropriate and sexy all at the same time in a peach dress by Elie Saab, her favorite designer, that highlights her dynamite figure. And Daniel looked especially nice also. I love his vest.  Notice his tie that complements her outfit.  Still newlyweds themselves since last June, the couple arrived holding hands. Â
The crown prince of Spain escorted his mother, Queen Sophie, and his wife, Princess Letizia, both of whom looked swelte and lovely as they arrive at Westminster Abbey.
But WHAT HAPPENED with the British prime minister's wife? No hat and her dress looks as though it came off the rack at J.C. Penneys, not to mention the fact that her hair and make-up are a disaster. Her shoes even look too big! Â
