What a farce. Up until this incident, I had high respect for Congressman Weiner. Boo hiss.
The media and members of Congress aren't the only ones wasting time fretting about this.
I think it's the water. A long-dead former President once talked about the poor quality of the water in the Potomac. He tried to skip a rock across it but each time it touched the water it picked up more sludge and sank to the bottom.
If we got rid of all the people in Washington who had engaged in lascivious behavior of some sort or another, we'd have to dismiss half the Supreme Court, most of our prior Presidents, and the bigger part of Congress.
That is why the Congress can't get anything done. They are so busy twitting about trivia that they don't address a lot of very real problems like our ten year war.
As of this afternoon, per CNN/NYTimes/Politico/Etc.: "Rep. Anthony Weiner apologized for falsely claiming that his Twitter account had been hacked after a lewd photo showed up over Memorial Day weekend. The New York Democrat admitted to having engaged in 'several inappropriate relationships' with women he met online though never in person, but said he was not resigning, nor was he getting a divorce. His wife was not at the press briefing."
I find it funny how many men are interested in Weiner's wienie!!!
