Not a lot to report. Â The housing renovation continues; Bailey has been at Church Beach Camp in Florida all week and Kenzie will be gone this weekend for church camp for the first time. Â She is so excited even if it is only for a weekend.
I have not been working on the house this week. Â I have ulcerative colitis, which flares up when I least expect it. Â It hit me Monday evening. Â Went back to see my doctor Tuesday and now I am back on my medication again. Â I had my first attack over twenty years ago. Â I was told then that there is no cure and that it would flare on me from time to time. Â The last two attacks I had put me in the hospital. Â So far, this one hasn't got that bad. Â
Stress is the biggest trigger for me. Â Though we were almost certain Jim's cancer had spread, we waited for the official test results. Â The new spots on his lung are malignant. Â I found that out Monday; that afternoon, Holly and I had a huge disagreement. Â Tuesday, I was sick. Â I had been fine for nearly two years. Â I get complacent and forget how quickly it can hit me.
Mother-daughter relationships can be hard sometimes. Â I hate fighting with either of my daughters. Â Kenna and I rarely have a bad word; but Holly and I are so much alike that we sometimes butt heads. Â It's always over something that doesn't amount to anything.
We'll work it out. Â I just asked her after I got sick to give me time for calm and quiet...that we would talk out the problem later. Â She has respected that. Â I have been resting and sleeping a lot, which is the only thing I can do...that and take my medicine until the attack subsides. Â I did go run a couple of errands today. Â I am feeling better.
That's all for now...more later. Â Have a great weekend!
