Love's Fresh Lemon

When I was a teen, my favorite fragrance was Love's Fresh Lemon. Had more compliments from people wherever I went. Closest thing I can compare it to is, well, a fresh squeezed lemon.

Tried Googling it and found it in a bath gel only. All the splash scents are sold out!!! A company in Florida still makes this, but probably makes it in small batches.

According to Google listings, the company, Dana, also made other famous 60s scents that are still popular today: Tabu, British Sterling, Love's Baby Soft, etc.

It seems the company discontinued it and then brought it back I guess. Interesting that some fragrance sites carry the product but are all out of the splash.

My olfactory sensitivities love the lightest scents but most of them don't "stick" throughout the day. Heavy heady scents give me headaches although people have bought me gorgeous perfumes: Joy by Jean Patou, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Liz Sport by Liz Claiborne, Eternity by Calvin Klein, and Knowing by Estee Lauder.

I've had to give beautiful (expensive) perfume gifts to my friends who can wear them (since I cannot), and they LOVE it.

Went to Rite Aide and bought the Healing Garden's Tangerine Body Mist, trying it on my wrist first. To my surprise, it was very close to the Love's Fresh Lemon scent!

Just like Love's Fresh Lemon, whenever I wear it, people come closer to me, sniffing (like the Febreze commercial!) and say, "Wow - you smell GOOD!"

So now I'm looking for the Healing Garden's Tangerine products - although, it looks like the Body Mist is also being discontinued!

Maybe I should just bottle lemon juice... though it would be rather sticky!

It's tough for me to disassociate the fragrance of lemons to the taste. But I can understand your sensory attractions.

when I go to the outlet malls I will look for it. Try Perumia - it has everything. Will scoop up all they have if I find it.

How bizarre! You've posted about a lemon scent and I'm sitting here considering doing a post on limes!! I'd even done a little lime research, but then I decided not to go ahead with it. Ummmmm, you smell good...

Lemon is one of our favorite.Mike used a twist of lemon in
his gin and tonic.I prefer the lime.To each his own.
He picked up this habit while on a holiday in London.
Our host got him going. The lemon I mean.

Cute.My students always stated that my room smelled so good while the rest of the school had a nasty odor. I wear White Shoulders often--I'm partial to the sweet scents.
