Watched highlights from Obama's Inaugural Day and how so many people were touched and are now infused with a 'newness' and hope.

It is so welcomed, to hear words that call us on as a nation, to expand our views beyond ourselves, and to claim back a nation that seemed to be heading to hell in a handbasket.

Now, while ideals have been spoken, the hard work has already begun. We ALL have to roll up our sleeves and do the work that is incumbent upon us.

To sit back or drag one's feet, is to rebel against certain truths that this president has brought into the light.

It IS a new day and I intend to be smarter, learn about everything I can, and put myself in the way of giving back.
