I've wanted to see This is Spinal Tap for ages and I finally rented the dvd over the weekend, watched it yesterday. I loved every minute of it. I loved the sense of humor of the movie, the quotes..everything. Love their songs too. Big Bottom being one of my faves. The lyrics = gold. Ha!
Also loved one of the extras on the dvd, the commercials they did for those rock-n-roll things. It took me back because I remember that was the first time I heard of Spinal Tap. Those commercials were funny. ROCK N ROLLLL!!!
In other news:
My cousin Kim Lan, who my aunt adopted last year, told me yesterday, "My teeth are gonna be put in jail tomorrow." Or something like that.
Yep, today, my darling cousin got her braces. So I asked her to send me a photo of her with her new 'metal', where she kindly sent one over to me. But super gracious of her to let me post it on my blog! Thanks Kimmy!
TA-DAH!
Cute, right? I was once very keen on getting braces for myself. There was this time back in Junior high where one by one my friends were getting braces and began to speak as though they had marshmallow in their mouths. Most people would think braces are geeky, nerdy and simply a fashion disgrace. I don't. I thought, and still think that braces are pretty cool, especially the colored ones! Why? I just think that this is just a level of growing up that I would have liked to have been a part of! It's like a trend, teens aged 13-16 are more likely to get braces (at least that's how it seems like in my school) more than older teens because I think that's when the "social hormones" start to come out even more.
Well, God blessed me with a nice set of teeth (*Ahem*) so I guess I didn't have to go through that phase even if I wanted to. Crazy, isn't it? A yearn to have braces. Ha!
Also, my cousin told me my aunt reads my blog too! Wah... now I can take the opportunity to HINT that I LOVE YOU, AUNTIE MONA!! hehehe.
Just a short post about one of those little weird things I fancy about in life. In the meantime, have fun with those braces Kimmy!
