I've been meaning to check this film out for a while. I admit that the Canadian system certainly has it's share of flaws, but I can't fathom the US system where people actually having to pay every time they visit a doctor. It just leaves me shaking my head.
YAY for Michael!!! What a huge milestone indeed!
Not boring at all! Quite interesting and entertaining. I'm glad Don is able to come for another visit. Enjoy your time at the porn store. (And now I'm raking my brain trying to figure out where the porn store is in town?)
Wow, to carry a grudge for 20 years is SO unhealthy.
Just keep focusing all your energy on what you want (and not what you don't want) and things will start turning around. They have to. I hope the animal help group calls you back. They'd be lucky to have you!
I'm so glad that you changed your mind and decided to post this. I'm totally enjoying it!
Great post, and I can totally relate. Since we've been together, J has stopped eating both pork and red meat (on his own free will.) He still enjoys chicken, but admits that he feels factory farming is very wrong. Since I do all the cooking, he eats very little of it anyway... but it's those mini milestones that make all the difference. I'm proud of R's recent accomplishments, and I'm sure he'll continue making baby steps as you rub off on him in the years to come.
Congrats!!!!
What an inspirational post! I've been reading The Secret again lately, and it's so true, when we fill our lives with joy, everything will fall into place. Keep up your great attitude and wonderful things will continue to come your way!
Congrats!!
Toothpicks?! Jeez... I never would've guessed that.
F*ck. Good luck Janet.
Writing out a letter beforehand to sort out your thoughts always helps. Actually, I wrote a lengthy blog draft the other day about my parents, but decided to keep it for myself... sometimes it just helps to get your thoughts out in front of you. Good luck.
What beautiful scenery!! I've often thought of taking photos of my favourite nearby walking path, but it is certainly no match to yours.
Wow... sounds like you've definitely got your hands full there. Living with someone who considers you their enemy is a horrible way to go through life. I hope you're able to make some positive changes and pull through.
