Great post! I'm sure that nitwit easily alienated about 97% of her viewers.
Argh. How frustrating. Although I'm curious to see what your place looks like at Christmas. I see images of the Grizwald's light show in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
Sounds like an incredible weekend!! But that totally p*ssed me off about Rock's mother cutting off Michael's dreads...
I think the potential for financial problems is why so many people choose to stay in unsatisfying relationships. If you can't find a decent roommate, maybe it isn't such a bad idea to give the place to your ex if she wants it. Moving is always crappy, but if it means less financial stress, it's probably worth the sacrifice.
Ah, you're never too old for school. If it's something that you're really interested in pursuing, you should definitely go for it.
Poor grammar really grinds my gears as well. However, at my last job I was a marketing copywriter, and my condescending manager (who, incidentally, had the WORST writing EVER!!!) criticized me one day for splitting the infinitive. (Guilty as charged -- but it just sounded much better than the alternative.) I swear I wanted to hit him. Instead I went to Wikipedia, and printed out the definition, highlighting the line: "However, most experts on language now agree that the split infinitive is sometimes appropriate." I brought it to my review, but never gave it to him.
I especially love the first and the last!
If your local newspaper prints letters to Santa, you should totally send that one in! I'm sure it'll be the best they've received in years.
I've been wanting to check out Burn After Reading. (I wasn't too impressed by Tropic Thunder either.)
Awesome news about Kota's report card!
Great pictures!
Sounds delicious!
Interesting! Although I somehow doubt our little liquor store next door would specially order in anything that special.
