Gosh... that's really pathetic. I can't even begin to imagine how anyhow can go through life that way.
Wonderful post and a beautiful tribute to Mary Ellen at the end. I'm glad your play was such a success! It's a shame your brother hasn't learned a thing in his adult life, and it's really too bad that your father enabled it. Seems he gave him one too many fish through the years.... Don't feel guilty, it's time he learned how to hold the rod for himself.
Never heard this song before, but I really dig it! Thanks for sharing.
Sucks that you're doing it alone... but really, you always were. (With the exception of shoveling all that damn snow.) But as for the important things, at least you have support and love on your side this time, even if it's a long distance phone call away. Like you said, just take it one cup at a time.
Yay, Santa lives again! (At least in Ontario.) When we moved into our new office the super-duper high tech heating system didn't work properly for the first 6 months. Actually, it never really evened out completely -- just got more tolerable.
Whoopth!
I can't tell if they were refusing to shake his hand, or if he was refusing to shake theirs. Either way, it sends a message.
