Jeeeeez. I'm so glad that Don is okay. I think that maybe he should just move up north for the winter (or forever, for that matter) and skip all this dangerous commuting back n' forth. What do you think? In any case, I'm glad you had a wonderful weekend together.

I heard that same thing in an interview with Tarantino. He said that will never hire anyone to do the score for any of his films because, "Who knows what better music sets the scene than I do?!" Although I believe he had a friend of his do the score for the Kill Bills, but they worked closely. (And I too can't hear Why Can't We Be Friends without reciting the dialog in my head for that same scene. "Fry like bacon you little freshman piggies! Fry!")

I heard about this and found it absolutely gut-wrenching. It's too bad that the courts cannot step in and take the daughter out of that woman's care. She is obviously unfit to be a parent, and aims to raise a sociopath, not unlike herself.

Nope, we don't get the day off up here. Although, the company I used to work for does most of their business in the US, so some people take the day off, while those who go in to work have a big potluck lunch to celebrate.

Great attitude. I would much rather get my friends and family something thoughtful and special than rush around trying to find them just any ol' thing so there's a wrapped gift beneath the tree. I have received more than my fair share of thoughtless gifts, and they just take up space.
