It's hard to get a hug from PA when you live in CA. However, I have two kids who managed long distance relationships while each of them went to college, and I think their relationships are stronger for it. PA guy won't be under his parent's thumb forever. Personally, I'd pick the one who didn't drop off the planet.
Probably too much to list! Anything with pie crust, meaty or sweet. Almost anything Mexican. Beef stir fry. I could go on forever!
I can't believe Kennedy didn't make the list!
Thank you so much!
The color of that rock is just gorgeous! I like to take detours every now and then, see something new. Gotta be careful though. The road less traveled is a poor place to break down! Glad you made it through, and got to see what's on the other side. Good for you!
Your words have a lot of influence here. The thing about opinions, is that people don't want them unless they are seeking them, and even then they may not be willing to listen. So don't feel bad about not converting your neighbors, whose minds are already made up. Do continue to write to those who are undecided, and are truly seeking knowledge and wisdom.
The color of the water is so gorgeous! I hope you get your wish!
I'm loving the autumn colors I see all around me, combined with mostly balmy weather. Soon it will be cold for a few months, but that's OK. I'm kind of glad to not have to take care of the garden 12 months out of the year.
Well, at least you can cross that one off your list!
That's terrible! We had FEMA set up camp in my old town after a big storm like this. The storm blew off a third of the shingles from our roof, causing water damage inside. Because most of the shingles lost were on the inland side, and not from the side you'd expect, they wouldn't help. It was humiliating to be turned down, as if we were trying to defraud them or something. It taught me a very big lesson, that in a really big disaster, you're best bet is to not assume anyone else will be there to pull you up and dust you off.
Well, I guess if you've stocked your nest, it may be OK to let them stock theirs... so long as it isn't in your basement! I hate any type of infestation! We had rats so bad one year it took months to eradicate them. Traps didn't work. Neither did those sound emitting devices. I didn't want to poisoned them but I felt I had no choice. I then used sheet metal and spray foam insulation to block every crack, crevasse, and hole so that new ones wouldn't find entry. Never had the problem again.
