... "The Weather"!!!

It is Blowing a Gale here, it hasn't let up all day. I'm sure debris has been hitting my dog because every now and then he lets out a yelp! Speaking of which, Joss has been feeding his needs, nutures his breed (whippet) by taking him running. He finally admitted the dog is faster than him lol.

Back to the weather...

It's whistling, howling, outside followed by the crashing. I'm not affraid of the weather.... just get frustrated when it steps up a level without warning and frightens the hell out of you.

The trees are always on our minds during thes storms, some of them are an easy 100 years old. They seem to be well weathered and holding up ok! Nothing like anything my husband has errected outside which is proving to be a 'Public Hazzard'!! I'm dreading the scale of damage to the fences, they're blowing about like the Welsh flag on Facebook! :P

*A Windy Poem by Jon Coe*

Blustery, wind swept grass

leaves dancing, everlast

Trees bowing, branches creep

dusty vision that I keep

Waves lapping, rocks abound

seagulls dipping, all around

Paper whistling, trash cans jingle

teasing hair styles, intermingle

Screen doors clatter, windows down

roof tiles skimming, across the town

Wood smoke bending, swirling up

black bird pies and chocolate cup

Car doors slamming, dented paint

church spire leaning, heaven saint

Ladies running, dresses flying

lost balloons, children crying

The wind relentless, takes its path

cleansing streets from aftermath

Until the rain, lays down to clean

behind closed doors, doth feathers preen.

I agree. It's destructive and a nuicance and no good for nothing except maybe a re-newable energy source.

I like poems that rhyme, and I'm betting this fits right in with a windy day outside your windows.

I liked the poetry! I can vouch for the weather - especially "the intermingling hairstyles"! I went down to Morriston hospital today - oh my goodness - cold cold cold wind.
I am nervous of that big fir tree out the back (and the blinking 'needles' it sheds - go out the garden and you tread all the little wotsits into the house
What is the dog like 'fireworks'?
