To start, I have got a severe case of the munchies on! Oh man I haven't stopped eating for the past hour. I've moved on to fruit now to save my ever increasing waisteline, but for some reason that seems to make it worse. Hmmm?
I've been all over the shop this weekend. I dashed up to Wrexham in the early hours of Saturday; it's like 150 miles past the mountains in the land of far far away. I had to be there by 9am to enroll the squad. I was firing on fumes since I didn't get any sleep the night before. 2 hours sleep had in 2 days. Don't ask me how many gallons of red bull I had; it kept us awake some shape.
Emily didn't travel so well, she was ill all the way to Wrexham. She took part in her kata an won a Gold medal. But when it to her kumite, we withdrew her as she was green sitting with the medics with her head in a bag!
Fair play to the organizer, he called out her name in the fighting catagory, announced she was ill with the medics, took a bronze medal out of the box and walked all the way over to emily and presented her with joint 3rd place and put the medal around her neck. Poor thing could only grunt a responce. It was humbling to see though. I took her back to the bus the to have a sleep.
The boys did well, Joss took Gold in fghting, so did Dylan. Jordan and Scott took silver and bronze in fighting also Jordan and Scott took silver in pairs kata's too. My club on a whole all ended up in the medals. It's a realy big accomplishment for us. We're consistenlty delivering the goods. Just have to polish up a few techniques and hopefully they'll get selected to represent Wales again in the Europeans next year in Portugal. It's very exciting.
4 working days left before I retire for sick leave. Got so much organizing left to do to make sure our tournaments on the 28th run smoothly. I feel like Aneka Rice, running around like a headless chicken against the clock. Because come Tuesday next week when I have my leg done. I'm not going to be up to doing squat for no-one. No pressure like!!
