I Cant Wait for Christmas

It's 10:00am and I'm still in bed. Every part of me is telling me to hibernate! All that's missing today is 'Snow'!! Better not talk too loud, Mother Nature might get some ideas.
I can't believe how fast the weeks are going by, just yesterday my son Dylan was reminding me of that last time we all went out for dinner as a family; it was January 29th 2010. 'They're Birthday'. I can put hand on my heart and honestly say it doesn't feel that Long ago.
Christmas is upon us once again. Every year it seems the season is never without its Challenges and Complications, but its the sheer will to battle through to make sure the kids have the best christmas ever is what makes it all worthwhile. I have started shopping, I saw a beautiful pink dolls house for Layla. Its the same shape as our house which makes it even more cooler lol, I'm confident she's going to absolutely love it. Then that's as much as I've done (blush).
When it comes to shopping, Mobility wise, ill be a pathetic joke this year. The surgeon told me on Friday he might have to take the ligament grafts out of my good leg to fix the bad leg. To date, I'm having acl reconstruction, meniscus repair and mcl repair!!! I don't think there's another appointment comming up between now and the opperation which is taking place in November which I am glad about, because every time I see him he 'adds on' another op!
When it comes to the actual shopping, I'm going to do most of it online as Ill be in a splint from my hip to my toes for 2 months, it may be easier that way. Although, you know me, I love the Christmas Spirit and all the ballyhoo that goes with it...we'll see how I feel, and if its not too icy; because mom will kick my butt if I go out in ice conditions lol. You know Moms, they got a way of finding out lol.
Oh well, I think i'd better get up. The ice has defrosted outside now. Later x

I could live without Christmas. I think I overdid it when my 4 kids were growing up, and I've since said, that's enough. Thanks for reading my post on my letter to my father.

. . . It feels like Christmas has only just finished, let alone due to come back again (lol)

Oh yes, you are soooooo correct . . . I've got spies in the skies . . . don't go out in the icy weather, my girl - you are not to big to get a smacked a*r*s*e* . . . (plus, you'll be easier to manage while you are plastered) . . .

I love your Christmas spirit. So many people bad-mouth the season, as if that makes them more sophisticated or better than those of us who like the music and bright lights and the fun of finding the perfect gift for a loved one. Well, call us a bunch of hill-billies, we'll wring some fun out of Christmas no matter what.

Stop rushing your life away--it will be here (and gone)
soon enough
