So yesterday was tiring, sad, hard, fun and great all in one day!
The beginning was the hard part, of course. Seeing my aunt, uncle and cousin sobbing and falling apart was hard! I felt as though I was in the right place though...
After people told their stories about D, some were so funny and some were just so sad because you could feel pain in the voice of the speaker, we went to a restaurant/pub.
Alas, I caught up with my cousin M, I just added his wife on facebook so I am hoping hoping hoping we will keep in touch this time. I also saw lots of relatives I haven't seen in a very long time and it was great chatting with them and catching up.
My cousin also was telling me about another version of our last name he got once. IT WAS SO FUNNY! We agreed that the person who made up the variation must have been thinking blacksmith. It was seriously amusing.
D's family seemed pleased that we all made the trip which of course makes you feel that getting up at 5:30am and sitting in the car for awhile to see family for a few hours was all very worthwhile. I am so very glad I went. I am also VERY glad that R came with me.
I am hoping that my cousin M and I will keep in touch though. I think that could be the one good thing to come out of the truly sad circumstances.
Happy Saturday peeps!
Oh! I almost forgot, I got the part time job!!!
