Tonight is the second week of bowling in our Mixed League. Last week I kinda screwed up and bowled a really good game last week and since we were setting averages last week, my fricken average is close to a 200. Last year my average was only a 178 for the whole year. So now I have to try and live up to this average that I have. Oh yeah, that high game last week was a 247.
My highest game ever was a 276. I've technically bowled a 300 before, but it was what is called a "split 300." That's because I had 7 strikes to end a game and five more to begin the next game for 12 strikes in a row, just that it was split between two games.
I haven't been feeling too good the last few days. I'm not sure just what is wrong but I've been having "internal" (ie my guts) problems, I've got sinus problems, my left hand and arm aches constantly, and I'm tired all the time.
Last Tuesday I went to bed at 6:30 in the afternoon and still took a nap in my car Wednesday morning during break at work. I've gone to sleep between 7:30 and 8:30 every night since and I'm still dragging my ass in the morning.
I just hope that it's something that will pass soon.
Work is getting to be a pain in the ass again. Just because I'm a good employee everyone seems to think that I would want a promotion. Well, they keep calling it a promotion, but I don't see it that way. And they don't understand why I keep turning them down.
Lemme see if I can explain this... OK, I run 5 machines everyday. But my position is considered to be low skilled labor due to the nature of the machines I use. Now an Operator gets paid more to run a single machine because it's considered to be high skilled labor. The company is going to start two new lines to make special parts and there will be 5 machines lined up to run in sequence. The parts will travel from machined to machine automatically. But one person will be responsible for all 5 "high skilled" machines, but won't get paid any more than the guy running one machine. And they want me to spend 3-4 months in Europe to train at the plant they have there.
Er, that’s not likely to happen..
