Getting ready for a long weekend. M and I took next Monday and Tuesday off because I have some family coming down from up North.
Both of my parents and my Aunt and Uncle from Mid-Michigan, and an Uncle and his wife from the Chicago area are coming down on their Goldwings. We're going to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway and the "Tail of the Dragon" in North Carolina.
Too bad there's some bad weather in Ohio and Michigan right now, it's delaying them leaving for a day. We were supposed to meet at our house on Saturday, but that's been pushed back to Sunday afternoon.
Almost everyone who rides motorcycles knows about the "Tail of the Dragon" over in western N Carolina, but we have "the Snake" just a few miles from the house. It's longer and has more curves in it, so we'll have to ride 'em both and see which one is better!
I joined Weight Watchers last week. I keep adding pounds a little at a time over the last year or so and even though I go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week, I'm just not losing any weight.
I know I eat too much so that's why I joined Weight Watchers. I'm trying to re-train myself to eat both better foods and less food, all together in one shot.
My starting weight was 240 pounds and I'm slowly working my way into the whole program. I hope I'll have lost a pound or two by next weigh in. My goal is to drop at least 24 pounds and I hope to lose a bit more than 30. I'd love to get under 200 pounds but with the way I'm built I really doubt it will be possible.
I'm what you might call "husky". There's a lot of muscle on my frame but it has a bit of fat all over it too. Honestly, if I were to weigh less than 200 lbs I'd probably look totally ripped, but that's not really my goal. I mainly want to do something about the little pot belly that I have growing over my belt buckle! I don't have to have 6 pack abs, but I'd like to be able to breathe while tying my shoes! All my fat seems to be inside my belly and we all know that that is the hardest area to lose weight.
