She's not really faulting you...she's just trying to make excuses to herself to justify her behaviour. Try not to accept her "gift". My sister is a lot like that...everything is somebody else's fault and I know it's not easy...I hope those grandbabies of yours keep you from even noticing her presence.
Poor boy.Try to take it easy...is there someone who could come and take care of you?
By the way...I've always thought the worst part of a cold is not being able to taste...
I'm not a fan of storms.
Good luck at the dentist, Martin. And enjoy, enjoy, enjoy the dancers.
Fantastic list. More people should think about these things.
I remember Jamie Oliver doing something close to this about chicken nuggets. He prepared them in a McDonald's fashion, showing kids what they really were. The sad part was that the kids still wanted them.
I often say that because I am not an American, I feel funny commenting on American politic blogs. But I do want to say that this was so well-worded, clear and to the point. Good for you.p.s. I often think that "moral issues" are used as a distraction ploy by the opposition. If people are thinking about abortion and drugs, they don't pay attention to the real issues.Kudos to you for using your brain.
My mother is a lot like your mother...she, too struggles with accepting gifts of any kind. Every year at her birthday and Christmas, she begs me not to spend any money on her. I hope that your Mom likes her gift and that her condo sells and her old furniture, too.
I'm sorry that the painting has been left up to you but I'm glad that you're happy with the results and the end is in sight.
I have read more than a few books that left me wondering how so many books get published.
Ah, but those incidents rarely have the significance for them as they do for you....
I had no idea that "peckish" was originally of British descent. My Mom has been saying it for as long as I can remember.
Hope you have a great visit.
I'm going to put that one on my "to-read" list. It sounds really good.
Sometimes truth is stranger...and more entertaining...than fiction.
You should have called me up! I'm always awake at two thirty!
