Not caring much about the gay vs. anti-gay thing that seems to erupt every election year. It is an old Nazi trick, divide and conquer. Pick a group, usually an ethnic one, to blame everything on. A few years ago it was the south-of-the-border illegal immigration thing. This election season it has gravitated across many lines and different groups - women, seniors and now gays.

In North Carolina the voters OKed a new law defining marriage. Now you can marry your cousins, so long as your cousin isn't gay.

The Mayans left more astrological and astronomical clues. A recent find shows that 2012 will NOT be the end of the world and the end of time. How could any reasoning person believe it was true in the first place? I blame that on the rising anti-science fad. Ignorance, or steadfast clinging to mythology over science, seems to be making some headway, mostly promulgated from the pulpits and talk radio microphones.
