These logs, plus the cost of the new saw were cheaper than buying the same amount wood already cut and split. There is more than a winter's worth of wood here, plus I get to keep the chain saw! My buddy picked it out, and it was $200 more than I would have spent, but it will last, aside from doing a better job with less vibration.
Tomorrow Adam, the buddy mentioned above is coming buy for a few hours. I said, "no problem, I can handle it myself from here," but he was first to fire up the saw yesterday, and he obviously can't wait to play with it! But now, I'll let the pictures do the talking, it's pretty straight forward...
The "woman's brain" is Donna taking credit for the title--it's her words, not mine! Apparently complimentary!
Pretty neat! I always wonder what the workers think that you are taking pictures of them though! 
Actually, I took pictures of my son looking at a huge backhoe working on the road in front of my house, and the guy stopped, and took my son up on the backhoe so I could get better pictures! 
This is going to take a while...I once bought a chain saw, didn't trust myself, never used it and gave it away for a fund raiser for one of those silent auctions...watch out for the kick backs and best of luck
