I should probably still be in town taking care of business, but we took the truck in for breaks at 1pm and it's a 3 hour job, so they gave us a car to use for the afternoon, so here we are back at the house for a few minutes.
This would be Ok, except we weren't supposed to have this much time to kill. The truck job was scheduled for one and so was Donna's dentist appointment. The plan was to get into town at 12:30 as we did, drop off the truck, get the care and get to the dentist by 1.
The car is a relatively new Taurus, which has nothing to do with nothing, and on the way out of the car place, Donna asked me which way we should turn. This should have been a bad sign, but I missed it. I said right, we'll take the short cut to the laundry. Unfortunately, we should have made a left to get to the dentist office.
On the way back here before, I was trying to remember what Donna told me the dentist had said, but nothing was coming to mind. So I asked: "You didn't go to the dentist, did you?"
Sure enough.... Oh well, we got the drapes washed, and Buster registered at town hall, so it wasn't a total waste. Now we'll go back and get the truck and hopefully not forget to pick up Chinese food on the way home! She can reschedule with the dentist in the morning. I already called on the way up and asked if they could take her an hour late, but he was off to a meeting.... Sometimes these things turn out for the best.....
Have a good one!
