Did you figure it out?

Nope, they are three times taller now and more bushy, but I still have no clue. I took it to the place where I buy plants but the guy who would know wasn't in. I crushed a few leaves this morning and tasted them but they don't taste strong at all. Not bad, just not strong. Sage maybe?

It looks like basil to me, taste a leaf.

I bought a potted basil in the mean time and what's in the video is definitely not basil as I know it.
Sage maybe? I did come across some sage seeds in my stash.

I usually get potted basil from farmer Wayne when I pick up the outdoor vegetables plants at the end of May. The basil leaves are usually much bigger and less dense than these, but the plants are also taller. Basil usually gives off strong aroma when touched and these don't. But I tasted it and I'm alive to talk about it, but it has very little flavor. Not unpleasant, so it could be a mild herb. Guess I'll have to wait awhile longer.

It looks like flowers are about to open at the top. That should help.

I inspected it carefully and can't find any flowers, but I'll keep watching. Maybe just a cluster of new leaves?

You don't know or is this a test? Doesn't that white thingy in the pot tell you what it is? Why are you making nmy life so tough???

I'll leave the test for people in other states where prized herbs are legal.

I was thinking the same thing.

The white tag identifies the original tulips that came in the pot. No, this is not a test: I have no clue what they are.
