Time to Write

I'm writing today, only because it's time to write and our little blogging community needs my support.
Mathis Brothers finally delivered the last pieces of furniture this morning. I'm definitely filling out the survey they left behind. I felt a little vindicated when they had to see me standing in the door dripping wet with a towel and a bathrobe around me. I wasn't about to let them drive off and claim I wasn't home, only to charge me yet another delivery fee. I said, "I was expecting a call from you first." "Oh, we never call first", he replied. "They called last time they came", was my quick and rather pointed reply. Actually, this humble delivery boy had the decency to apologize for his lousy employer after I gave him the short version of all the trouble we've had with our order.
Cox came and installed our internet today, as well. I've been using my phone to check my mail and important websites like MyBloggers. ;)
ADT will be around on Tuesday to install the security system.
Jenn is making our house look more and more like a home with every touch. I'm running just to keep up with her, hanging curtain rods, blinds, repairs and installations, etc. She's got a nice decorative touch.
It stormed and rained all night last night and promises more rain today and tomorrow. It provided us with a couple of days off, since I'm helping my dad move portable storage buildings lately. You certainly can't do THAT in the rain or mud.
My speaking schedule is filling out nicely. Hooray!! I'd much rather do that than crawl around under storage buildings shoring them up on blocks and shems.

More later. Cheerio, MyBloggers!

You're right, Jeremy. Our little blogging community does need your support. We seem to get smaller and smaller. That's why I now do my royal blog and my historical blog. I get picked up by google and some other sites that pull readers to my account and to MyBloggers, so that helps the site too.

We bought two Monterey side tables, and put them side by side next to the wall where a large TV will go when we get it. We had to move the love seat. Now we have to buy a large TV (Ed's wish). They are nice and we got them at half price. Everyone used to make jokes about R&S -- calling them Rob 'em and stick 'em. A lot of their stuff only fits into 4,000 sq. ft. mansions.

I (we) appreciate your dedication to mybloggers. I get pretty disgusted with all the comings and goings--for no reason or explanation. We're small, but mighty. Enjoy your home!

Thanks, bugg. We're very happy with this little house. Jenn is making it look more like home everyday.

Major high-end chain in this area closing all stores, Robb & Stucky. We went, we bought.

Sounds more like Robbed and got Stuck. Did you get any good deals??

You better keep up with her or she will get a younger guy who can!!!

Oh, you can rest assured, I'll make sure that never happens (huffing and puffing, all out of breath...).

It's good to hear from you. Furniture stores can really pull some stunts, I suppose because the salespeople are all on commission and it's dog eat dog.

Business practices aren't what they used to be. I remember when the customer was the first priority.
