My Kitten is a Puppy

This kitty is strange. She doesn't seem too interested in toys; at least not as interested as she is in power cords and rugs. She follows me around like a dog. If I turn suddenly, she slides into the wall, gets up and keeps on going. She even gets up under my feet and trips me much like a puppy would. If I call her, she comes running, meowing. When I let her out of her nighttime place, she runs out and cavorts around as if she'd been cooped up for days. And she meows incessantly. Fortunately, she finally figured out what the litter box was for. That was a frustrating couple of days, to say the least. Looks like I'm the one with a lot to learn.
My cockatiels have finally calmed down and no longer go crazy when they see her. Let's hope that relationship continues to blossom, because if not........well, I think you get the picture. Until later, thanks for stopping by!

Most kittens have a lot to learn especially if their mother didn't teach them.

I thought that Reni would never learn to go to the litter box on his own. I trained much like a dog--I would carry him to the box and show him how to dig. What a wonderful day, when the little guy took off, climbed into the box and dug his hole so very well. However, he put his front feet into it!

All kitten are like that. Our first one, I carried around tucked inside an old belted sweater. If I took her out and tried to put her down she would climb my pants leg to get back inside my sweater.
Some kittens need to be taught to play.
She's chewing on the power cords and rugs because she's teething. The rugs are ok but keep her away from the power cords or she'll electrocute herself.

She sounds like a kitten, which is like a puppy. Being a cat, she will grow out of it, where dogs don't.

Sounds like a lot of fun, a social cat; I hope she keeps some of that when she grows up.
