The pool, still not perfectly level, but much better than it was. Next year, I'll add more sand. *fingers crossed* I've already patched a small leak. The man at the pool supply store said they are only designed to last a couple of years. I'm determined to prove him wrong.

The finished gate. I'm so proud of it. It's level and it swings and it closes properly. Milestones, for me, personally, I tell ya! It might keep swinging if the children can refrain from climbing on it. Next up, replacing all the wooden posts (they're mostly all broken) with metal posts on the fence around the back yard. It's a 7' tall sheet metal fence and it was the best idea the previous owner had in his entire life! Total privacy and pretty good security, too.

More of Jenn's flowers have bloomed. They are beautiful, but she fears that she didn't plant the bulbs deeply enough. They become top heavy with flowers and break over. I cannot offer any guidance there, as I have no idea how to even begin with flowers. My thing is produce. Speaking of which....

After the wonderful rain we just had, my squash and zucchini popped out like a jack-in-the-box! I didn't have time to pick any today, but I might get out there early tomorrow, before I go to work.
Lastly, I'm going for a job interview tomorrow (Friday) at 1pm...the first after having filled out scores of applications and resumes. I might blog more later about my job situation. It's ...ARGHHHHH....!
