I wholeheartedly concur with Jeri's post about the the community of friends Eddie has made possible here.
We arrived yesterday afternoon some time before 5pm. It is as beautiful as I imagined it to be and so much more. Our hosts are most gracious and so very kind. I couldn't be more grateful.
We're thinking of driving up to Cheyenne (only an hour and a half away). It would add to the list of states I've visited and since we're this close it would be a shame not to go.
Sofia loves the cabin. She crawls around and investigates all the interesting things she finds here. She barks at Quackers and the humming birds. I suppose she thinks everything non-human is a dog.
May I say, I'm loving these cooler temperatures!!!!!!!! I already feel 100% relaxed and refreshed and we're just getting started. The sound of the Big Thompson right beyond the cabin is as delightful as the sound of an ocean.
Jennifer seems happy and ready for adventure. She's feisty and keeps me young. We've already laughed a lot and had a great time.
I was going to make an effort to blog frequently throughout the trip, but I've since decided to post when and if the mood strikes. After all, that's what vacation is all about. I'm looking forward to some hiking today!
