I am in a clearing out mood! So far I have started to tackle the kids toys. But that is a work in progress and probably should now be saved for a day when they are away, sleeping or have just been really naughty!! I had three piles yesterday....
keep
chuck
sell
The "keep" pile was bigger than I had hoped as there really is alot of duplicate toys or at least similar. But the problem was we kept finding toys that had been lost for months under the bed, behind drawers etc that the kids thought their birthday's had come and were in their element.
The "sell" pile was disapointing as I am now going to have to do more digging to find the missing parts of things so that my "inlimbo" basket can also turn into a "sell" one.
I did manage to "chuck" a load out too. If it was broken it was binned. There were protests but I am now hoping that it is a lesson in "well look after your toys in future"!
Today I tackled my wardrobe. I actually have clothes in there I had forgotten about! Fcuk me I have alot of clothes and yet never seem to have anything to wear! I am very much a casual gal who would like to be a bit dressier at times. You see these mums at school dressed to the nines and you have to wonder what they do all day. Then at the oposite end of the spectrum is moi! Tatty jeans, polo top or t-shirt trainers or my fab new DM mary Jane shoes (in ox blood red). How can I not be a bit smarter? Well I normally have gone 10 rounds with tantrums by 10.30 am and been hit with baby spew or orange baby food! Why in the heck is baby food alway orange? Even the stuff without carrots or tomatoes in it!!? One day I will be that MILF at the school gates instead of the bedraggled mother of 3 under 5!
Sorry got side tracked.
Back to the wardrobe. I now have a black bag of clothes taht I swithered whether to put on ebay or wait for the car boot sale I am planning to do in the summer. I figure the boot sale is best as there is more chance of selling the stuff. There is alot of casual things that would be ideal for the boot sale I am planning to go to. This is because the town I would go to has alot of berry fields near by and the farmers employ alot of Migrant workers who are on the look out to kit themselves out on the cheap. So I am hoping that they will like the look of my old clobber and spend a few quid to boost my Christmas fund.
DH always says that the stuff should simply given to charity but I figure we should try and make something from it first, then if it doesn't sell then the charity shop is welcome to it!!
Better go, the boys are quiet - never a good sign!!
