I have posted about my recent money spinning venture of being an AVON GAL. (makes me sound younger!!:P)
Well I don't know if it is a fluke, beginners luck or my given terratory has been Avon depraived for so long that the chickadees are mad for it!! I counted last night I still have around 60 doors that I haven't dropped a book to, some friends and family I haven't seen to plug my wares and I still haven't made the mother and toddler group to try some of the girls there. All this aside I am now a drop in on my second campaign. My first has netted orders (two still to follow fingers crossed - will know tonight for sure) of £391.10. This gives me £97.77. Not bad for what has probably totalled 4 hours work.
The first collection from my second campaign has seen my customer base gain another 4 members, my sales for the campaign reach £77 and my commission for the new campaign sits at £15.40. I am buzzing. I used to do telesales and loved the high I felt when I sealed the deal. Avon is different as I don't have to talk the talk - just walk the walk and drop the drops! But the buzz is the same when I work out my commission and discover I have another customer and that dropping books off and collecting them in the pishing rain pays off.
I figure that after 3 or 4 campaigns I should have a solid customer base and that prospective drops will just be when the time suits or I have a slack day delivery wise etc. But if it ticks over the way it is looking just now my overdraft and Next bill should be suared off and then I will be able to make a start to my student loan!!
I never thought I'd hear myself get excited about the doorstep lark but I am aiming to be one of the top earners after 6 campaignes. By doing so I will have managed to make £250 sales each campaign which bags me a haul of free samples etc to issue with books and orders. Plus I will also receive some cool stationary and other selling aids to make me look the part.
I am on a high roller at the minute watch this space to see if that continues or if my enthusiasm waines when the winter chills and kack weather kick in to see if I am still walking on sunshine or dragging my feet.
But for now I am the top Avon chickadee IMHO!!
