After 3 days of Austria and 3 days of Slovenia we went finally outside the EC and drove into Croatia.
There is quite some difference in infrastructure there I must admit, but you get used to it.
We made reservations on a campsite near a town called Porec. It was a good campsite but it was a very big one I must admit. We normally arent used to that huge campsites but we managed and liked it a lot. It was a campsite at the beach (pebbled beach) and we had (from our own spot) a great view at sea.
There it was really relaxing. We went sunbathing almost every other day and visited several nice little towns. We also made a nice tour with the car through the mountains and visited a nice town called Motovun ( see pic-galery). It was an old town situated high on a mountain. It almost looked mideaval and was a great thing to visit.
At the coast ( we stayed in a part of Croatia called Istria) there also are several nice little towns. OK, there is a lot of tourism there so that is a thing I dont like that much but behaind the main streets there is a lot to see in those little old villages.
Porec has a beatiful old church with great Mosaics ( hope you know the word lol). Another town called Rovinj is even a nicer place to visit. Very narrow streets rising up on a mountain with on the top a beautiful catholic old church.
A third town we visited, the capital of Istria, is called Pula. I didnt like that town very much but it has several nice old buildings from the Roman period, one of them is a Collosseum. Its the fourth in size in the world. It looked great but actually that was one of the view nice things i saw there.
For pics you have to look at my pic-gallery cause i cant download them here. MyBloggers says: too big.
Well I will continue next time ( and if its boring to read: sorry and dont read the next one lol)
