Good Thursday, MyBloggerstown:
Did some "spring cleaning" today, rearranged the living room a bit (the recliner and the bookshelf traded spaces) and now I am relaxing. Doing even little stuff like that just wipes me out; further evidence of my growing frailty. I'm sitting here by the window, opened to usher in the fresh air. The gentle breeze puffs the curtains and I hear birds chirping, kids walking home from school and mourning doves (called "rain crows " around here because their calls are 'asposed to preceed storms) chirling. I see a pink blooming tree of some kind up on the next corner and many of the other trees, while still skeletal, are beginning to get buds or hints of green fuzz...baby leaves in the ofting. I do so love springtime in the south. In the Flower City by the Lake, the leaves don't sprout till mid May (if then) and the snow is usually knee deep. It's overcast but the sun has been palely looming in and out all day...curently out. It's 'asposed to turn cooler(it's near 70 now) tomorrow and stay so for the next few days but changing weather is par for the course for this time of year. Speaking of par for the course, this is the weekend of the Masters. When I imagine what heaven might be like, one of the things I picture is the back nine at Augusta. With me one putting every hole, naturally. This weekend I am staying home, feet up, surfing between any baseball game (hopefully one in which my Dodgers are playing but I won't hold my breath) and my "son" Tiger kicking the collective asses of the field at the Masters. My God, I do love it so.
Have a good weekend, everyone (do ya like this spring green color?)
