Good Monday MyBloggerstown:
It's almost 4pm here in Cow Snot (MST) and I just woke up from a lovely nap. I don't know why children object so much to naps. I enjoy mine immensley.Â
Â
I got quite a bit accomplished today. Finally made those brownies that have been sitting in my cabinet for for-ev-er. Gave half of them to Crazy Sis because if they stayed here I would consume them like the great hog that I am and then have to hear about my blood sugar from Dr.Quackamundo at my next visit, which will be in a few weeks. Oy. Also got the gumption to clean my bathroom, take out my trash, dust my bedroom and organize some of my closet. No wonder I was tired. Getting tired again just talking about it...hee hee.
Â
Got a new tenent last week. Yet another homeless creep. I swear, this place is turning into a flop house. The license plates on his car read "Alabama". We don't have enough home grown scum? Now don't get me wrong, I know some people are homeless through no fault of their own...loss of a job, forclosures, illness, death of a spouse etc. but that's mebee one in 10. The rest are drunks, drug addicts, mental cases, or some other class of worthless loser. I know..I know, there but for the grace of God and so forth and I realise I am being uncharitable and I should pro'ly find out what this guy's story is before I condemn, but it chaps my ass when people suck up the bennies and don't even try to help themselves. Ah, don't get me started.Â
Â
Well, onto another subject. The weather here in Cow Snot is pleasent at the moment. I have my window open a crack and a refreshing breeze is wafting in. It will not last as it is turning cloudier as I speak but I am enjoying it while it does last. I do miss New York even though I unnerstand that winter is really kicking but there. I miss my friends, I miss culture, I miss trees.
Â
Saw a really interesting documentary the other day. George Takei (Mr. Sulu on Star Trek) was talking about his life, his gay activism, Star Trek, and so forth. I did not know that he and his family were confined to an internment camp for Japanese Americans during WWII. He spoke at length about this and it was kinda fascinating, as Mr. Spock would say. One of the grossest miscarriages of justice ever, in my view. Anyhoo, it was a very interesting program, Trekie that I am. And he has such a great voice, don'tcha think?
Â
Well, I guess I'll wind it up for now. Have a good week, everyone.
