Well, since I am now "retired" I guess it doesn't really matter what day it is. hee hee. But for those who still have their noses to the grindstone in some salt mine somewhere, its Friday...yay!!
All sorts of bizarro world stuff going on here at Shady Pines. Last Thursday, the newest slug nutty that the Cow Snot Housing Authority rented to went bat shit crazy...I mean literally. He baracaded himself in this apartment chopped holes in his walls with a hatchet and tried to set the building on fire by igniting a roll of toilet paper. I am NOT making this up. Cow Snot's finest tried to batter down his door to no avail so they had to break out a window and drag him out that way. There were multiple squad cars, fire engines and rubbernecking neighbors who already think this building is a psych ward. All this occured between the hours of midnight and 3am. Imagine what all the sirens, fire alarms and general commotion at that hour can do to people who aren't wrapped too tight to begin with..like..well, me. They finally haul the guy off to the booby hatch, we presume. At last report he was out and about and coming here to get his mail. Rumor has it that the Einsteins down at the Cow Snot Housing Authority are considering letting him move back in. The mind reels. Stay tuned for further developments.

Finally got a dress for niece Jethrene's wedding. It's kind of a teal/aquamarine on top and dark blue on the bottom, has a wrap to hide my "flaps" and it fits me like a dream. Paid a bit more than I planned but hey, they can always bury me in it so at least I'll get to use it two times. The big event is scheduled for April with over 100 guests and four (count 'em four) bridesmaids. Pretentious. And who ever once said "an ounce of pretention is worth a pound of manure" was spot on.

I need to get busy and go through my files for my annual shredding extravaganza. I look forward to this every year like I look forward to my mamogram and my pelvic exam. But its got to be done or my worthless, outdated documents will foment an insurrection and take over. Just like the dust bunnies under my bed.
